go for a toyota probox. if you find a clean ride, it is fuel efficient as well and very spacious 1300 cc car. even CNG works perfect on it

From personal experience: get a Cultus. If maintained properly with new genuine parts, it will serve you for a long time. It is capable of up to 220 km per cylinder (around 8 kg gas) on the highway, with A/C and passengers.

I expect that Cuore will be similar, but I have never experienced it. It seems smaller significantly smaller than Cultus though.

With a budget of 8 lacs, you can buy a very clean carbureted Cultus, and still have enough left over to perform a 90k km service.

The first thing that came to my mind when I read Long route drives was Diesel. Unfortunately you don't plan to get one of those. We have a 2005 2.0D in the family, it's used for long drives only and has 400k+ but it still beats any local petrol car in pleasure of a long drive.

In petrol I'd recommend Wagon-R. it's a k-series engine and has excellent fuel efficiency on long routes, but the resale value is a huge downside. But it's still a hundred times better than cultus, apart from a decent shape, there's nothing good in cultus, but if you still plan to buy one, I'd suggest a pre 2003 model, use the rest of the money on restoring it and you'd have a far better ride than the new ones.

Too old and would have too many problems including rust and worn out electricals.

Go for 2.0D its good and heavy duty, hardly let you down, but requires more maintenance then petrol. Or go for City IDSI.

2.0D is doesn't need any extra maintenance it a good option but mechanics will be a issue but still much better buy then city IDSI. city IDSI is the most uncomfortable car a person can buy hard suspension, hard seat etc
