    Default Toyota Rush worth buying?

i intend to buy a toyota rush but wanted members opinion first whether its a good jeep overall as i dont want a car but something with high ground clearance.

the model i am looking at is in silver 2009 and was imported in 2014 and driven 65000km. it the facelift model and has 4WD centre differential lock as well which most dont have, doesnt have climate control but all other gadgets such as rear camera etc.

the guy is from uk and going back so he went to urgently sell it and demands 20,50000 and i offered 180000. what do you guys think? is it correct market price? i have driven the car and these problems i found

    Rear shock absorbers are shot.
Tyres need changing which wont be cheap considering 215/65 r16 size.
theres a problem with sound system.

otherwise perfect and very clean and no dents or any major scuffs.

what do you think? would you compare this car with Toyota Rav4?

If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane!

2010 Model Rush unregistered is available in Karachi market for 21lac, price might go less if person show seriousness to seller.

I think you have given the best offer of 18 lac, since it 2009 , registered, driven in Pakistan and 3 problem you stated...

According to Khi market no one will pay more than 18lac for 2009 registered one.. most ppl dont see 1 or 2 lac difference for unregistered and newer model...

Bro while buying a Jdm one should prefer to verify it first. As most of jdms which are imported have accidental records and are repaired in pak. There is a seperate thread of a guy who verifys it. Or just give me chasis no. and I will do it for u.

oh it will be really good to have some more feedback from a owner, the guy claims it gives him 10 in city and 14.8 on motorway with ECO light on.

are stuff like oil filters available from toyota 3S since both have same engine 3sz-ve. what about suspension parts? will toyota 3s have them for rush as they have different wheelbase or do you have to look at used car parts market?

what things to look for or are common to go wrong in this model before buying? and as a detailer hows the paint quality? thank for your time

oil and air filters are easily available even in open market but be sure to get from a reputed shop...i got oil filter for 550Rs in karachi...got some rear suspension bushes changed and they were easily available in market

only thing you have to be cautious off is to protect headlights and taillights and side mirrors as they can be a PITA to search in market and toyota does not have these..if they have its like 45000Rs for one mirror

coming to paint quality, i would say that its awesome...just a shampoo wash with megs ultimate and it shines like a mirror..mine is black metallic colour....check my post on detailing thread

You sure about having a 1.5L engine in your Terios ?
all the Jap. and UK models had a 1.3L engine

    Default Toyota Rush worth buying?

The problems you have mentioned with the car plus no auction sheet availability will be raising all sorts of doubts in my mind and to top it up it sounds like a "rushed off your feet" decision with the seller going abroad.
I know it's not an off-roader but the shocks to be shot off at that mileage it just does not all add up to me.
Any way choose wisely and dnt be rushed off your feet with the seller going abroad there's plenty more cars available out there.
It's the same car as a terrios and no comparison to rav4 it's definitley smaller then that.
Good luck with the buy though.

thanks for the reply, i did check all the lights and fortunately there wasnt any hazing etc and the owner had already replaced a rear light due to a crack recently so that was new as well and fitted fine.thats quite expensive for mirror but its understandable. thankfully this car still has the original mirror and they fold fine as well.

yep i saw your posts, this one is silver so probably wouldn't get to that level as your black pearl but it'll be fun to detail.

well a fresh import would cost me 22 lac after registration so for 4 lac less wouldn't this be a better option? and its only 6 month used in pakistan. i could sort out any problems for less than that. it didn't seem to be painted or genyan from what i could tell though i am no expert. all the jap stickers we're there the manfuacturing on the seat belts match and form looking at the airbags deployed thread i dont think there was anything to suggest on steering or dashboard that the airbags had be deployed.

oh and just to be sure the owner had a gieger counter so i made him go over the car in front of me checking for radiation and there wasnt any, so thats a relief.

you have summed it up well ill keep this view in mind.
and thats the major worry that if the rear shocks are shot a this time then the rest of the suspension might be worn as well at the very least rear springs could need replacing too so thats potentially can be quite some work.

Rush is a jap import car and 5 seater. Terious is sold by indus imported from malaysia and is a long wheelbase 7 seater. Theres also the daihatsu Bego which is same as rush.

additionally there was a 5 seater terious with 1300cc from 1999-2004 or it was better known as cami.

and lastly there is Terious kid as well in 660cc form.

Toyota Rush worth buying? -1566662Toyota Rush worth buying? -1566663Toyota Rush worth buying? -1566664

i got the auction sheet after checking chassis no on the other thread.
@muradi you were right, you can add this to your genyian list of cars, just shows how well they hide these defects when they repair. the interior grade is E and yet the interior of the car was spotless and no bad smells so it must be its been thoroughly changed and cleaned possibly the airbags could have deployed as well and the crash explains the suspension problems as well.

will not be buying this car, its too high of a price for this condition anyway.
