Post Recommendation needed about below cars

    AoA,

Im writing here for the first time and exploring the forum since last 6 months. After a long time finally I'm able to buy a car for family use. Recently i have kept a 2003 Alto VXR but engine was not good and Chevrolet Exclusive. Now i have decided to get some decent car under the range of 500k to 600k. Could you guys please suggest me which car will be fit best to my purpose. My main purpose is travelling. Khi to Lhr isld murree once or 2 time in a year.

    The cars im looking are:-

    Kia Sportage
    Civic 1995-2001-2
    Accord 1992-1997
    Lancer 1995-2002
    Liana

Well i love sportage and 2000 Civic but i can also get Liana which will be up model.
Please suggest me which car will make less trouble on long routes and easy to maintain.

    Regards
    Umair

    comfort wise =good,
    On Long Routes = good
Maintenance = Maintain your ride Time To Time and it will be trouble free
Mileage = Good on Petrol Becz i am running it on Petrol don't know about CNG

To be honest a honda can be your worst nightmare too. So do evaluate your options wisely! I've kept a civic VTi both 98 and 2003, and both stayed trouble free till proper and timely maintenance was done! So just make sure you keep your civic in best health and take good care of it

I would like to add Honda City 2001-03 Model. I guess it'll be best bet in this amount. You are not going to get a trouble free Civic in this range and model.
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?

What does "proper and timely maintenance" mean for any car?

Thanks for your precious comments i like city too but in the end im confused between Sportage and Civic. If i get a 2001 Exi in 600k+ i will go for it but if its more then im thinking to get a very well maintained sportage with toyota 3s or 3y engine. Maintenance cost is not a problem but I'm worried for parts
availability. Civic will suite to my family as we are only 4 people me my little brother sister and mother. But Sportage is like my dream. If i go for Mitsu or toyota for 4x4 toyota i think will not be in my range and Pajero wagon will come in my budget but im worried for there maintanace and trouble and out dated shape. What you guys think is sportage worth buying if kept very well maintained and does this converted versions make trouble on high ways if we drive continuously for 6-7 hours.

Strike Liana off from ur list
Go For a good Civic, Dont look for swapped Sportages and Civics, They can be a nightmare if swap not done properly

Please stay away from Sportage, any ride with alterations can create problems in long hauls, if you need a ride with peace of mind find any of the vehicle without alterations, believe me I had a 1989 HJ60 Toyota Landcruiser, 4000 cc diesel sold it last year and it was unaltered and I took her to Skardu-Deosai-Hunza and way back to Lahore in just 6 days with AC without a single problem, enjoy the thread below:

So what I mean to say is that the condition and how its maintained matters the most, whatever model it can be.

My daily runner is a Civic EXI 2003 manual 202k kms driven with throughout Honda 3S maintained and its troublefree al hamd o lillah.

I would suggest civic 96-00 because all you need to do is maintain it properly and you will get good mileage, comfort & reliability. You can get a good one under 600k. You still can get new parts for this civic though they are quite expensive but they sure do last long.
