9th gen Civic: Ownership Experience

My first impression abt this car after driving for 1100kms is:
a very much improve model than 8th gen civic.
more responsive than 8th gen pros. more comfortable reduced road noise in cabin which was main issue for 8th gen. quiet better suspension soft steering wheel better fuel average but i have felt few bad points abt the car gear shifting is not that fast when u suddenly accelerate the car it lags in term of shifting the gear car accelerates well but still not in comparison of toyota premio but better than 8th gen. yes the navi unit is t not of gud quality but better than 8th gen. but i also have noticed one bad this nav is more towards driver side.passenger dosent get proper view of it.it seems to be like that this car is more driver oriented than passenger.
but i must say i m the more i am driving the more i am loving this car. ab tou shape bhi aachi lagany lag gai hai.

Thanks for liking the car.......regarding addition of body-kit......I believe if the actual Modulo body-kit is installed.......it enhances looks of the car as the design of the kit complements original design of the car.......Honda itself offers the same kit in markets like Australia, Thailand, and Malaysia.........

The intensity of indicator and reverse-light is okay and not much affected. However, this gives the lights a red-tint (obviously :)) that sometimes doesn't look that nice to everybody.....but since I can remove the tint any time, this doesn't bother me much.......

I don't remember correctly.......but it costed me not more than Rs. 500/- and I got it done from F-10

I faced my first issues with the new car some fifteen days ago......when all of sudden all the controls on Navigation Unit stopped working.....I was not able to increase or decrease volume......change source......or even switch it off......it gave me a shock when I switched the car off and took the key out of ignition.....the navigation unit continued to play the radio.....ultimately I had to disconnect battery to switch it off.......

This was something that I had never faced earlier with any of my cars......

This happened again the following day and I decided to take the car to dealership.......There I was immediately introduced to the reset button just beside the gps-card-slot.......I was told that there was an issue with the navigation unit and Atlas had not been able to sort the problem out........the only option till then was to reset every time the problem occurs.....they had no idea what made the nav-unit to behave like this......

From that time onward I again faced the same problem once and after resetting the unit.....it became okay.....

Now.....I have guessed that this is actually the Bluetooth pairing with my GS4 that may causing this issue.......This problem first occurred on the day I bought the mobile and paired it with the unit......this continued to happen till whenever I received or made a call.......I have now turned-off the blue tooth and the nav-unit has not faltered again......this was okay with my Note-2 earlier

Yup.....I know..........may be someone else could tell me his experience with the same cell + nav unit.........may be there is a solution through software update later.......but not having the blue tooth available is a big let-down for now..................

fellow mates , one more thing i have observed!! 9th gen civic has a waaayyyyy better security system then 8th gen .....

9th gen civic has all around sensors like in bonnet, boot trunk etc ....when ever any body tries to open it without unlocking from remote it will start flashing its horn and hazards lights ,,,i have just tried by sitting inside the car and lock it by remote and then i open it its starts shouting..........

im also posting the pics of both models u can see the difference even on the pics

I am extremely depressed to note that we people don't respect each others property......even after knowing that the owner would have spent hard earned money to get his/her car..........my car got scratched twice by motorcyclists.....once when it was parked in a parking-lot and second time when I was waiting on red-signal......both 'gentlemen' didn't even bothered to look back what they had done to the car........

Then there are people who sit in others' cars and don't mind scratching insides with their watches, or mobiles, or things they carry.....they just don't give it a damn.......and this annoys me.........

You should had made them realize for what they had done. This is extremely depressing. Bikers nowadays are totally nuts. They ruin the car and in the end they get themselves out of trouble by calling themselves ghareeb admi and other stories.

Real dilemma of scratches is that you can not replace or paint the whole panel being a minor loss and neither can you cure them completely.They ruin the looks of the new car and owner's peace of mind, especially detailing freaks suffer a lot due to these minor bruises.

Two idiots hit Into the back of mine within a week of taking delivery. Had to get new bumper fitted. Gutted!
