The project started with a rusted shell that my uncle located and bought instantly at first sight. This was back somewhere in the mid 90's. From that day on he put all his heart and effort to turn the mini into something that would turn each and every head. He was pretty much successful in achieving his goal. The cooper was totally restored to its original condition. it used to run like a charm.
unfortunately in 2004, due to certain personal issues the car had to be sold on urgent basis. My uncle was not in the country one of his mechanics helped in the sale and it was given away for almost nothing.
After that we have been trying to locate the car to repurchase ever since things have settled down. we did succeed once, the car was found but the condition was much worse and the price the owner offered was 14 times of what we gave it away for. it was totally unfair and the owner was keeping it with some care so we decided to let him keep it.
NOW today there is a picture in the newspaper of that same mini on a thela in HYDERABAD. with no tires, windows, interior, hood and lights. it was a sorry sight for my uncle who has decided to grab and get it to life again.
The mini is green in color. im trying to find the online link to that picture.
Im writing over here hoping that someone on this site would have information about that car and the current owner and that someone would be able to help us get to it.
