would like to share my first ever impressions of driving the car back then, we already had a 2010 top of spec altis, after driving that i really loved the leather bound steering wheel and also the feel of a hydraulic steering, we had a civic before this and that had heavy steering, the altis eps was a bit light for my tastes, this was perfect, smooth and responsive with good feedback, the initial response wasn't as crisp as the 2010 one which leaps forward and even spins wheels if the steering is turned, this was much smoother and felt even stronger in midrange, brakes were good too, abs worked really well and the 2006 one also has break assist where it senses a emergency stop and applied full breaks even if you have yet only pressed half the pedal. overall i really liked it especially the driving position, it is higher giving me a good view and the seats were more comfy as they are much wider than most cars meaning in long distance journeys you can stretch your shoulders and not feel glued plus high driving position means better thigh support, the thighs get too low in our previous civic which causes pain after a long drive sitting low.
heres a video of the area of my test drive, remember i wasn't old enough then to have a license to drive on the road so driving in a closed area, infact no driver was allowed to touch it, and for 1.5 years it was only driven on this patch to keep battery charges and mechanicals in good order plus a occasional trip to golf and country club karachi, thats it hence such low milage, karachi isn't a drivers paradise, the traffic is intense and so is the steal rate:P,
