a lot of crap in this thread
vario is CVT, so its not locking any gears or such in S mode.
S stands for SECOND in honda terminology
it allows u to rev to 6k rpm and then accelerate when ever u floor the pedel
in D, the rpm stays at 4.5k rpm for some time while car accelerates.
in D at constant speed, rpm drops to lowest possible.
in S, at constant speed, rpm remains alot higher.
pedel response and engine braking increases in S so does acceleration
