ok get your car checked or DIY,
- Check for coolant leaks
make sure there is no coolant leaking ... easy to spot, just look for the colour of the coolant on the floor where the car is parked.
- Fan
you said its direct ... just check if the air it's throwing is towards the engine and not towards the bumper ... when ppl make it direct they accidentally switch the wires and the fan runs in the opposite direction.
the fan speed ... check the sucking power using a cloth on the bumper ... the cloth should be pulled slightly towards the car.
- Radiator check
look at the radiator ... are the fins open or slightly damaged ... if closed then it will not let air through causing the overheating.
- Radiator Cap
open the cap and check the rubber and see if the spring works by pushing it. if the spring is not working well the steam will not be able to escape into the coolant container.
- Check circulation
with the radiator cap open start the car and see if the coolant in the raditor is circulating. if not then your waterbody is not working.
- Loose Fan belt
check fan belt by pressing on it, should be reasonably tight. this could also be a reason for poor circulation.
- Timing
if the timing is set wrong then the car will heat up ... normally timing is retarded when overheating ... advance ker do.
- Head Bolts & Tappets
if the exhaust tappets are tight exhaust gases will not be able to escape which causes extra heating and lack of engine power.
Also note if you are running on CNG your engine will heat up a little more because CNG burns approximately 3 times higher temperature than petrol.
hope this helps.
