Blazing Bull: UK Lambo bursts into flame
Passers-by in Peterborough were shocked to find a Lamborghini Gallardo on fire in the city centre last weekend.
The bright orange Lambo pulled up outside a busy nightclub with smoke billowing from its engine according to eye witnesses. Two men were reported to have jumped out of the car before the car burst into flames.
The fire gutted the 2005 Gallardo – worth around £75,000 – in just four minutes and was destroyed before firefighters could arrive.
Bar manager, Colin Jeffery who saw the fireball told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "It was engulfed in flames and was there were loud popping noises all over the place as the windows and the tyres exploded. There was no end of people gathered round, something like 150 people. A lot of them were stood there filming it on their mobile phones.
"It's nothing new to see a car on fire but to see a Lamborghini in flames is something else altogether. It was an unbelievable sight, to be honest. Quite surreal."
It took fire fighters around 20 minutes to damp the supercar inferno, and police are reported to have taken the car away for investigation on how the blaze occurred.
