I was just wondering why is PakSuzuki offering the Pakistani market such obsolete products which are not even being sold in poorer african countries.
1: Liana: Liana is not only a worldwide failure but is out of production since 2007 everywhere in the world. I believe its not being produced in any country other than Pakistan. (its discontinued not only in developed countries but developing countries such as india, vietnam, sri lanka, etc and even Kenya...)
2:Alto we might have a relatively new shape(this current pk alto shape is being utilized in other countries also but has been discontinued in Japan from 2004)...but it is worth mentioning here that Pakistan is yet again the only country in the world using a f10A 1000cc carby 1982-1984 SJ410 engine...everywhere else in the world the Alto utilizes a much much newer 660cc or 800cc EFI engine with modern emission standards....so technically our alto is an obsolete piece of machinery as well.
3 Cultus is a popular car but again it is obsolete and not being sold anywhere in the world [yes once again !!]
4 and mehran...well id rather not say..
so logically speaking bro's it is about time we get replacements as well....We should immediately get sx4 and swift...we have the engineering capabilities and we deserve better quality cars. these cars with older engines not meeting emission standards are very harmful. It would even be illegal to produce them outside PK... Its about time our government wakes up...what are the so called engineering development board, monopoly control authority and ministry of environment doing ???
