@ahmadbila, yes they don't, but i purchased through ebay US store.
@toofast, you're right but it depends upon the seller. Some have fixed courier options and busy sellers sometimes are not kind enough to change their service just for a single buyer who even don't have buyer protection just because he is out of US. Though for me, cheapest option is the way to go, so it was OK.
@panicslayer, i agree, but was it a coincidence that both the packages have that area scratched with a black marker.
@autophile, regarding paying the postman, actually the packing was opened for custom check. And there they put up a sticker on it after repacking which mentioned that there is 420 Rs custom + 80 Rs tax. and it was stamped, so i guess it was OK.
About PayPal, actually i have residence in Germany as well, due to which i have paypal account from germany. And for ebay purpose, i use that.
Unfortunately PayPal does not operate in Pakistan. And MoneyBookers although they offer international accounts but again they also don't have local presence. Which means every transaction is like international Bank transfer with them, if you are in Pakistan. So you might have to be patient. but personally i have no experience with them. Recently i got MoneyBookers Master Card which is linked to your MB account. They charge 1.8 EUR to withdraw any amount from any ATM worldwide. Also you can add a VISA card to your MB account, and then you can withdraw money to this card. Maybe you should look for these options, if you can but again for your address verification, you definately need some documentary proof.
@z06, yeah i checked that, but they are stripping too much money. Being here, currency difference and shipping is already too much for you to pay for something which is considerably cheaper for the locals there. I'd suggest, if you have some friend relatives abroad, use them etc, and you can pay them locally instead of paying too much interest for something nothing.
Btw, after many days passed, i definately had the feeling that some custom guy must have took it... ;p
