I don't believe in the "stupid crap" that is called astrology. But speaking from an astronomical perspective, there is indeed a constellation officially known as Ophiuchus. What's more, as much part of it (if not more) is located within the ecliptic as Sagittarius and Scorpius. That is why, from our vantage point, parts of Ophiuchus are hidden behind the sun between November 29 and December 17. (This is the science behind the "galactic alignment" crap "that is to occur" in December 2012. From our perspective, the galactic center is in Sagittarius, and every year in December the so-called galactic alignment occurs).
So for so many years, among the thirteen constellations that the ecliptic passes through, twelve have been "affecting people's lives", and this big constellation called Ophiuchus has been denied the privilege. This fact alone speaks volumes about the reality of astrology.
As a side note, the first time I observed an asteroid was in 2006 when the asteroid 4 Vesta was passing through Ophiuchus.
Peace.
