no thats not what I meant, If you look at your exhaust manifold where its bolted to the head, you see that there are chunks of metal between the ports (runners) which serve zero purpose. Infact they cause harm - as they are iron and the head is aluminium it has completely different expansion rates, and being chunky it does not shed heat which then tries to expand the head, causing headgasket shifting and failure.
remedy, remove manifold, put it in vice, get a saw and cut out the joining chunks which the forgery forgot to remove. The japanese swift sedan came with this engine and it did not have these joining chunks.
