Today while browsing found this and tried it as well though it realy works and save Rs:1000 1500 atleast for IT test braged by 3S dealers. Sorry for no pictures
It can be used on many Toyota new Gen engines though its a good thingy for JDM owners
You can read the codes by shorting terminal 4 and 13 on the OBD-plug under the dashboard, the plug has 2 rows of 8 terminals, top row left to right is 1 to 8, bottom row left to right is 9 to 16. Make sure not to touch other terminals with the test wire.
Procedure:
-ignition switch to "ON" position, engine not running.
-short terminal 4 and 13.
-read flashes of check engine light.
-take off test wire.
-ignition switch to "LOCK" position.
-take out "EFI" fuse for 20 seconds to delete codes.
each code consist of 2 digits, read-out is as follows:
1: light off for 4.5 seconds
first code
2: light alternating on and off for 0.5 seconds (first digit).
3: light off for 1.5 seconds.
4: light alternating on and off for 0.5 seconds (second digit).
5: light off for 2.5 seconds before starting next code or 4.5 seconds if only 1 code.
The code flashes repeat until you take off the test wire.
So if you get 1 flash, then a 1.5 second pause, then 3 flashes, the code is 13.
