I've travelled from pindi to Quetta a few times with a recent trip just before bakra Eid, here is my experience and tips
Pindi to lahore via motorway
Distance about = 375km
Time = almot 4hrs 30 mins starting from your home
refreshments quite expansive we take eatables before getting on MW and take tea from these rest areas
If you have weak tyres or some heating up problem then go by gt road
From MW to Multan (chowk Kumharan)
Dist = approx 350 km
Time = 6-7 hrs
Road condition = good
Use all city bypasses to save time and avoid traffic jams
Beware of speed checks on 70km speed areas
No security risk
Night driving not recommended unless you have HIDs as on coming lights keep you blind throughout and average speed reduces a lot
A shortcut from khanewal to bahawalpur is there but its a single road and a bumpy one i won't recommend it
Multan to Sukkur
Excellent road till obaro
Dist about 430km
Time 6-7 hrs
Night driving in sindh is strongly not recommended
from obaro to panu aqil (distance around 50km) road is totally broken and takes a lot of time (could be upto 2 hrs). To drive in day light hours avoid long stays on this route and plan to stop overnight at sukkur
Sukkur to Karachi (havent travelled till karachi but have some idea of road, etc)
Distance about 550kmTime 7-8 hrs
Road condition good til hyderabad and excelent thereafter
No night driving recommended
A taj hotal on moro bypass is a good place to stop with family, slightly expansive
