I agree it gives orange light on parking and the same lights goes brighter as you turn on the indicator.

On the left is the double point bulb which I painted as well. You can see the thin coil, that glows when parking lights are on. The thicker coil glows with the indicators. Now put this bulb behind an orange plastic/glass and you'll get orange light. Now that orange plastic/glass in a part of City's headlights. Therefore, you don't have to paint the bulbs.
Well that's what I know...
For example, look at the 7th Gen. Civic's "original" rear light.
There is an orange plastic cover inside the transparent indicator. Now whether you put a transparent bulb or an orange bulb, the light will glow with orange color. The fake lights didn't have this orange cover/housing and just had a hole to fit in a bulb. There you have to place orange bulb.
So, for RapShap; if he wants to have indicator + parking lights, he have to get this bulb painted. If he just connects the indicators to the parking switch, his car won't have any indicators which can be dangerous for him and others on the road.
