My Civic Reborn 07 manual is giving me 8.5 kms/litre in city with AC. How it's efficiency could be improved?
hypermiling
try to live happy with 8.5 , i get 7 KMs on my 2008 reborn. few things you could do is to change the engine oil to synthetic one, replacing the spark plugs and air filter.
but still 8.5 is a good average.
synthetic oil is not good old engines!hypermiling +1
buntu boss, R18 is not an old engine.
mine 1.8 manual easily give me 10km/ltr in the city with full time ac on

bhai , by old i mean used 1's , model is 2007 , so it'll be over 70k kms!
Reborn giving 8.5km/l with AC on is not bad milage, keep air filter clean and replace it at right time, use energy conserving synthetic oil such as ZIC A+,keep right tyres with right air pressure and most importantly never press accelration pedal fully unless required
Hahhaha bhai maintaining reborne as asking abput fuel economy??? Y this kolaveri d??If fuel eco is the point of concern for for honda city which is designed for this.......
mine giving 8.5-9.0 with a/c in city ..
ur ride is giving quite an awesome average
pretty acceptable fuel mileage considering a pig of car this civic is.
Change Engine oil to synthetic. e.g mobil one. I use Synthetic in my 185k km car.Spark plug to iridiumGood plug wires.Lose extra weight.Clean injectors.Check Tyre air.
And alot of other stuff you can do.
i recently bought reborn . had 2005 civic and 98 civic earlier . i find its ride quiet hard when driving through small road bumps or road cuts especially . is it really this hard as compared to older civics , changed tires (dunlop sp300) ride improved alot but still behaviour is same in bumps and cuts
I have 2012 manual model and it gives me 10.5 - 10.8 with full time AC. On GT Road / Motorway I remember that it gave me 13 plus with AC on 100 km / hr (GT Road) and 120 km/h (Motorway)

Well, I previously owned city 2007 and also have driven 2005 civic (not owned). What is the mileage on odometer if yr car ? I don't think that the drive is harsh, also in comparison to the my old city, this is much better. I have Yokohama DB tires (profile 205) with alloy rims and ride is fine. I will again drive the civic 2005 and compare it with my car when i get a chance.
arround 50,000 km driven my civic 2012 is giving 13 in city without ac and with ac max 11 or 11.5 kmplHighway and local mixed 16kmpl only highway with 75 or 80 kmph throughout the trip it gave me 19+ kmpl with normal ac on tunned from honda,
its driven 64 k kms. the drive is much better and stable but on small bumps or road cuts it behaves harder comparitively
