Dear Fellows, is it true CNG fitted cars have comparatively more consumption when used on petrol (Long route) due to a Rubber or Tape is fixed in Air Filter pipe for CNG adjustment. I haven't tried or observed this issue, as am using CNG first time. My car is Honda Civic 2004 Exi Manual. Waiting for valuable comments.
Peace :)
I do not think so.My car Santro gives me 16-17 Km/l on highway with ac
Hmmm!!! Some one told me when going on long route u must take off that rubber fitted in Air Filter Pipe. Now who can fix and take off again and again lol
It is true, that air blockage affected on vehicle performance while operating on petrol, because of disturbance in air fuel ratio, which results in high fuel consumption.Vehicle can be tuned on cng without air blockage.
Wow thats Great,,,, i hope to fine a good mechanic to adjust without blockage. Thanks Brother
i used kitchen aluminium foil in layers for blockage in my vtii could take it out in 10 seconds(to run on petrol) and another 10 to place it back
yes CNG'ed cars have a poorer petrol average as compared to their petrol driven counterpartsi won't take an example of any new car but of an old onei have 1998 toyota corolla 1.3 carby totally petrol driven, it gives 12 km/l in city without AC whereas i know many people who have the same car on CNG and whenever they drive on petrol their cars give no more than 8 km/l
ive got khyber and it has a rubber thingy that fits in air intake pipe, its about 5 second job to take it out and put it back,i take it out when i intend to run car on petrol for longer time and put it back on cng, totally worth it;..
Thanks Buddies these valuable comments helped me alot
em trying fuel average of petrol on vti, lets see how it goes, its fine enough on cng but low pressure of cng n only 4 days availability is a pain,if i'll get good average with petrol then bye bye to cng
help me experts i have swift 1990 i took it to mechanic he changed the spark plugs and serviced the distributor but the problem still not solved and no leakege found still consuming more CNG Please help
I always use to remove venturi when driving on petrol...its good to remove air blockage and venturi as car turns to its original setting
