Hi guys,
My car started losing control on curves. I have been driving my car on 140kph everyday to my work but for the last week I can not drive on curves with similar speeds. I have to drive on 100 kphs on 140khp roads. Changing of lanes with speed also causes loss control. If the Road slope is from right to left side on straight roads even I can not drive with speed more than 100. Please note that the posted speed on road is 140 kph. I have tested my driving on other car which is fine. My Car is Corolla 1.8 2007.
Please help what could be the problem.
There could be a looot of issues start with tyres and alignmentDoes ur car lean too much on curves ?Let the experts pour some more light on that...
Uneven tire pressure, problems with rear shocks come to my mind.
What happens if you make a sudden turn on medium speeds? i am assuming a tail out, check by steering let and right to see if it oversteers on one side or both.
Please mention the tyre size you are using
Mention brand, condition, milage, size of your tires...
That shape corolla did not had good road grip...
I have recently changed tyres. Balancing and Alignements were done. Initially it started to make problem on right hand curves but now it is causing more problems on left hand curve. I got it checked with a mechanic but i was too late in the evening he advised that get alignment checked from other work shop and also advised that bushes need to be changed but still they are in working condition.
I changed my tires one month ago. Dunlop 185/65 14 with balancing and alignment done. Also checked Alignment after one week. The problem is on both hands of curves. Current Mileage is 90000. It causes problem more than 80kph.
