BAHAWALPUR: Pakistan’s first ever car rally was held in Cholistan Desert on Saturday and people from all over the country arrived here.
According to Mujahid Jaffary, such scenes were never seen before today. A total of 76 cars participated in the rally, monitored through helicopters and light military planes. It was organized by Punjab Tourism Department and Pakistan Army.
Corps Commander Lt Gen Syed Shahid Pervez said this rally was especially held as a healthy activity for young generation. So that they cone in this desert and enjoy.
The rally was divided into three parts keeping in view of cars engine’s power. The three winners of the rally Muhammad Ashraf, Brig Iftikhar Opal and Khan Muhammad were awarded prizes in Darbar Mahal Bahawalpur.
