Buying a refurbished phone is like buying a PKDM corolla, it's crap.
Like the corolla, it has misaligned body parts (screen and back cover haven't been fitted correctly). The bootloaders are usually unlocked and sometimes they're rooted. Another similarity to the Corolla is that even refurbs have scratches. So stay away from them.
If you're looking for a good Nexus 4, you're better off with a used one from the PG marketplace (I saw your thread there). There's plenty of N4's for sale.
