If you want the absolute maximum life, you can go more than 160k km.
However, this requires that you pump up the tires to at least maximum sidewall pressure - 44 psi for commonly available tires (measured cold). A hypermiling driving style is also required - minimum braking and lower top speeds. With just the sidewall pressure, 100k is not unrealistic.
Buy a tread gauge and check the tread regularly. As low as 2/32" of tread is acceptable. At any rate, change the tires at the time given in the owner's manual, whether they have enough tread left or not (even the spare tire).
