Dear Friends,
I am in a bit of confusion regarding one of my cars which I sold to a dear friend last year. I need fair opinion and advice.
I sold my Liana Eminent to a very dear friend about a year ago. The car was leased in my name for 4 years in 2011. When I sold the car to my friend, it was still one year to go before the lease period. The arrangement between my friend and me was that he paid the full price which we decided, I handed over the car to him and I promised to get the car transferred in his name as soon as the lease will terminate this year (June 2015). As soon as the last installment was paid, I had the NOC from the bank and got the car transferred to my friend's name. Here is when the issue started. Before the bank issued the NOC, they asked me to get the tracker equipment uninstalled from the tracker company, as the tracker was not transferable.
My friend is of the opinion that the tracker was sold with the car, hence he should be compensated after removal.
I don't want to argue with him as the amount is not that high which should affect a very good friendship. I just need a fair advice as what the going practice is in such cases.
Appreciated.
