Majority of mechanics have learnt on the job from their vaddas and Ustaads using trail and error basis on customer cars.
Another thing noticed in Pk about mechanics is if they don't know anything about some other mechanic, they think other person knows nothing!
its like yr guilty unless yr proven non-guilty approach used here.
Also important thing to remember is when someone works on yr car make sure you do periodic check every nut bolt and close tightened properly. the "chotas" tend to cut on task if ustaad isnt looking. and who suffers?. the customer!.
especially in summer when people feeling too hot to work
I wont be wrong to point out a lot of brand new cars get wasted early due to mechanics in our country where as in other countries cars last longer because owners follow the instruction manuals much better and avoid mechanics.
Any cut made in yr car wiring to install for example HID will have its effect later and warranty goes because its not in actual condition anymore.
even small minor modifications made to yr new car can turn out to be dangerous if done by unauthorizied person.
use of cng in Honda civic is not a minor modification, that is why you end up over reving yr car's engine to see if cng flow is ok.
Another thing is these cars aint really designed on use cng unless manufacturer states so. The engine life is cut half or even less by use of cng, and unfortunately i have observed people are happy to pay more to buy a 2nd hand car if its with cng unit installed,
actually that should be opposite, you should pay more for a car that is without cng because you should know petrol used engine has more life still.
i_mean_vtec you should tell yr mechanic to NOT to push throttle to full, if car has problem you will come back,,
this pushing full throttle is not a solution.
the problem is yr car's fuel intake area gets clogged after some weeks or months from use of cng,
solution is he should only service it. You dont drive full throttle on road on cng so there is no need to floor it without load... if you floor yr car on cng, that's isnt good either
