Just came home after getting a big scare. Rolla brakes suck guys. I was doing about a 100km going down the incline of jinnah flyover when i saw a rickshaw and suzuki potohar about 250-280 feet ahead of me. I started tapping on my brakes and the car for some reason that i cant frickin comprehend started skidding and was pulling right and theres this big 4 feet concrete divider which i missed by about less than 2 feet and to compound my problems the potohar and rickshaw were having a mid road confrence and both were at a dead stop. Managed to stop about 15ft short of them. I thank the almighty for saving me and the car and curse indus motors endlessly for equipping corolla with the brakes suitable for a rickshaw only
no doubt the brakes suck big time but an expert would also downshift while applying them and the car wont skid, well, i've tried that many times baki aap ki marzee
i know i could have done better on my part by downshifting but there was this big distance that the car had to cover and i felt it should have been a piece of cake...plus everyone driving out there isnt an expert and would rely on the brakes alone to do the job for em...
switch to low gears if brakes dont work and dont use clutch at all while applying brakes,
offer 2 RAQAT NAFEL.
3:02:46 AM bhai is time bahar
@guy4u never pressed the clutch mate
@bluntreaffirm whether ur car can stop using the 2 second rule or not..if it cant then its advisable that u always keep ur left arm on the shift knob as a preemptive measure...
@insaan okay, will check that tomorrow. I have a feeling it will stop within the distance at speeds under 80km but im not sure if that will be the case at higher speeds.
glad to hear you are OK, now please change the tyres on your car if you still have generals on it.
drive

this is what i was about to say ....
@stormI have yoko's A539 but now that i think about it the tyres are 4 yrs(from date of manufacture) old. Even though they dont have too many miles on em(43k) but i heard that tyres expire after 4yrs. I guess that could be a reason too
@Portage1ok sir
@guy4Uyar bhook luggi thee...mcD's ja rah tha,aur kuch nai
try these.
The test results demonstrate that the Michelin Energy E3A tyres offered 20% more life than the next best brand and 60% more life than the most expensive tyre.
sounds like they have served their time, they are good tyres, perhaps it's time to replace them though.
good tyres do alot help in brakes
@LevinBhai where can i get these in lahore??? and i hope the purchase doesnt make me sell a kidney.Any idea of price?
Replace its Tyres and also get Rear Disk Brakes, also check Pads.
