Mini's suspension is notoriously famous for breaking of king pin and of course you dont find the struts or dampers that easily. I would not bother about a mini running fast as much as I would be worred about stopping it when needed for mini's brakes are prone to failure. A very friendly suggestion, before you race this cute little thing again, please make sure you replace the master cylinder (a sujuki bolan's MS will do) and if possible install disk brakes. By the way if this mini has mechnically sliding windows only then it could be the early cooper otherwise N4sir is very right it looks more like a Austin Mini or Morris Mini with hinchted rear number plate and extended gear shaft
