Hello Pakwheelers!!! first of all a happy new year to u all.I recently purchased an XLi '05.Like many ppl i m not happy with the brakes as they are almost useless at high speeds. So i wanted to install ABS to ensure safety of me and my family.I wanted to knw from where could i purchase it and for how much? and where should the installation be done? By the way wats the price of a spotless XLi 05 Lahore reg with cng and 15" rims and dunlop tyres.
i thInk u cant install ABS in XLI.... if there is a way thn it would be very expensive!!!
Ali ask in shoba they can do it (y)
@ palay .... If they can in Shoba , then how much it cost and what is the procedure , and is that reliable , i guess u also have to change the ECU for that ... Do u have info on that .... You know my Gli needs it
You can definitely have ABS on your car. What they will do is install all the new kits for ABS andreprogramme your ECU Chip and price I will confirm it from Toyota but it should be 30K +
Thanks REza_malyk i will be waiting .........
round about 90.000 is se kam nhi... 74000 ki sirf abs kit hai
sun2sunny
It can really be very expensive but shouldnt exceed 60,000! Kal i will contact my person
Even Rs60,000. is too much. I think Pala's idea is suitable. Get it installed from shoba and then go to toyota service centre, if required. The procedure wil definately require time and money (at least not that much) but the end result would be benificial for many of our members. Elvis840 buddy keepup the spirit and you'll end up with good result.
@elvis840brother honestly speaking i think u should not install ABS in your car.........if u r too much eager then install it frm TOYOTA.......not any other place............spending 60K is too much.........u can get your brakes serviced and have bigger soft tyres like 205/15 on it....u will feel a descent difference in the brakes + you should not overspeed your car for your and your family safety........if possible sell this one and buy corolla x......its a much much better car............thast my opinion the rest is upto you.............
I second rizwan1985. Modifications are not reliable. Get an original ABS equipped car.
215/55/15 actually
they have cured my braking problem on my 2007 GLI
