The whirring noise could be due to the failing bearings or your camry's tires have developed cups/waves in them. So, as you speed up the noise increases. Besides bearings, also check the balancing weights on them.
Some times the balancing weights come out and your tire starts to wear like waves and makes whirring noise. (happened to my car, put the new weights. It took a while before they even out and whirring noise gradually gone).
Also check your front and rear shocks, if they are shot your tires will wear unevenly. Also tires should be properly inflated. Under or over inflated tires will wear faster. So check your driver side door for correct tire pressure.
