Malaysia offers help in IT and telecom sector
In order to have a strong industrial base, every country needs to have expertise in mechanical, electrical engineering. While Pakistan has a good Electrical engineering base. The Wapda electric grid, parts of electric generators, electric motors are made in Pakistan, we need to work in the microelectronics, which is an important arena in todays information technology. While cell phone business is booming in Pakistan, we are importing cell phones, mainly NOKIA, from a tiny country in Europe, Finland. By 2009 we will have 29 million cell and land phones. TIP, Telephone Industry of Pakistan does manufacture landline cordphones, it needs to invest in cell phone technoloy.
The following is a very encouraging article. Malaysia, as we all know is on fast track to become First Muslim, DEVELOPED Country by year 2020, Insha_Allah. They are willing to cooperate with us in microelectronics fields. We need to ally ourselves with Malaysia in microelectronics, as well as Automobile industry, as they have a well developed indiginous Auto Industry as well.
