well its not exactly true, thats half part of the story, as people buy Baleno thinking as Mehrans, nd gets em repaired at road side work shops, while the same person sends his City only to honda dealers. maybe hell pay even more there but that doesnt bite.
Baleno has a cheaper market price i.e 5-6 lacks, which is not more then a a Cultus (NON EFI) of a same year, but maintaince is heavier, its an EFI car, needs proper tune ups, its spares are expencive nd sometimes not even avalible with the dealers, i got most of my cars parts from shair shah.
Bottom line, if u noe proper mechanics, gud people, nd ure good at maintaining cars, nd the driver is a sensible one then.
Baleno is to me the best sized car for home use. in the 5 to 6 lacks range. as it maybe not the best car, but the price range is very attractive, too. the Coils in baleno is a issue, which alone cost Rs.14,000, PakSuzuki dealers sell them for 19,000 nd plug wires are about Rs.2200
uske ilawa i dunt noe if theres a khuari walla kharcha, in Baleno, that also i think is jstified if ur car has done 115.000kms, plug wires to change hungi hee na.!!!
uske ilawa routine, service tuning, and suspention wagera is depreciable, gari chale gi kharab hoi ga.
but ive talked to mechanics nd there like, Corolla, Vitz Civic u name them her gari k urr jatte hai
