It sooo wont take 5 minutes , I had the same problem with my vti ie check engine light was always on,went to Shamim Motors here in khi, they connected the car to a tablet PC thingy and it was found that the Manifold sensor was not working, took them a long time to get to that sensor as its not in a easy-to-get spot.
oh and on a side-note,the sensor costed rs 4500

Then get to some good electrician/mechanic next time cuz whenever i come across this thing, my electrician connect OBD scanner, shows me the code and then goes directly to the problem..... 5 minutes hardly
yeah like I said, connecting the scanner and finding out the code didnt take long but getting to the actual sensor so that it could be replaced took quite a while, cuz in my case the problem was that the manifold sensor had died itself & was not transmitting any signal at all so had to be replaced. Not like u pop the hood and its right there
