Default The wind, bike & heart; Tour De North

Its all about the freedom of life on the road, a personal adventure that leads a biker to the highlands of North Pakistan. I done this trip during the flood of 2010, infact it got flooded in the midst of my this journey. This adventure started with passion, hope, fear of unseen and ended giving experience & memories of good times to be recalled. It also helped me discover myself and taught me lessons to be remembered.

    Some Statistics:
    Days Spent: 35
Distance Covered: 6300km (home to home)

Great Trip. I missed pics of the most congested/dangerous parts of GT road you know like Muridke,Wazirabad,Gakar, Gujrat. what route you had taken after Shadra? Did you go through Gujranwala city? I remember last year when I taken that route on Bike I encountered dense blinding fog...visibility was only a few feets and we are stationery due to this when spotted a truck reversing(on GT road) with whole load of steel beams popping nearly 10feet taking aim of right the centre of our heads..if we were travelling that would have been a straight kill..such are the idiots on our roads travelling under influence...btw that was a khan sahab under Niswar who got a good beating from my friend....who is a bouncer.....Your (Tundulkar look alike) friend is very funny. By the way did he manage to get that pole off that building..(building ka kia hoga bhai) only if he is a former world's strongest man. Brother, which year you graduated? Do not worry, I am not trying to judge your age.. ...Plz post more route details if you want more appreciation from me...Do not worry I have plenty of time thesedays as doing multitasking on my computer...so upload pics with atleast 50mph

This must have been a great trip for you guys. Looking forward to further details.
It reminds me of my long trips on bike to the Northern Areas between 1989 to 1994.
    Cheers!

I didn't feel like capturing congested/dangerous parts of GT road like Muridke,Wazirabad,Gakar, Gujrat. You know its personal preferences too. I taken photos of the places which appealled to me, as i said earlier that i didn't think at that time to present/document this journey to someone or somewhere.
Well after Shahdra we took GT Road(Muridkey, Gujranwala by pass, Wazirabad bypass and Gujrat by pass and so on).
Brother I did graduation in 2001 and am 2 years younger to you. I think thats enough to reveal my age. Rest you yourself carry out the calculations
Talking about appreciation, i think appreciation comes and must come from heart. Listen to your heart and if it says then do appreciate else not.
By the way how do you manage to speak out that much "Susht" English. I sometimes need dictionary to comprehend your words.

    Default Day2 Continued...

We reached Islamabad at 1:30 PM. Irfan had been living in Shaheen town near Fizaia Chowk, Islamabad Expressway, before shifting to Lahore. He had some piece of work there, so we first went Shaheen town. Later rode to Food Street of Rawalpindi, whose name i have forgotten. Had a delicious lunch there and at around 3PM departed for Muzaffarabad via Murree Expressway.
