Default Youngi's Adventures: The Echoing Green (AJK)

Youngi's Adventures: The Echoing Green (AJK) - nWMaXe0

    Asslam-o-Alaikum:

I have never used the word "Adventure" in any of my trips despite of being into touring from last 4 years and have covered almost every location of Pakistan on my bike with an exception of North. But this trip was truly a masterpiece when it comes to adventure.

Faced flat tyre, shivering cold breeze, heavy rain, hailstorm, running bike over camelion, racing with horses, broken rear shoe in drum, slipped chain, sleeping in truck wala hotel with insanely poor hygenie, insanely long heard of sheep's occupying road, eating canned food, having chai infront of indian occupied kashmir, witnessed a fellow jeep accident, group politics and what not you name it and we faced it.

But indeed Kashmir's beauty is so enchanting it overcome all the hurdles. It was a complete adventure to visit the undisturbed beauty of beautiful Pakistan.

We were three bikers from different regions and localities but pooled in our ideas and effort through pakwheels platform.

    1. Imran Afzal from Lahore (Atlas Honda Pridor 100)
    2. Muhammad Imran from Sialkot (Ravi Piaggio 125)
    3. Sikander Akram from Islamabad (Ravi Piaggio 125)

    Preface:

It was decided that we will leave at 3rd morning of eid and return by next Monday in anycase. As Imran Afzal bhai has some important project ongoing for which he had to report in any case. We planned to do camping so we distributed stuff and duties in-time to avoid any confusion.

    1. Imran Afzal is responsible for bringing cooking posts, utensils, pans and stove
    2. Muhammad Imran is responsible for bringing all the stuff like canned food, cleaning stuff, puncture kit and tool kit
    3. I was responsible for arranging camps and camping related stuff

Every detail will be shared stepwise so that it wont ruin the taste of keeping interest in whole story expense details will be shared at the end of the thread as well

Locations Covered: Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Kundal Shahi, Shardah, Keel --> Taobat

Day 1 = Lahore to Islamabad
    Day 2 = Islamabad to
    Kundalshahi
    Day 3 = Kundalshahi to
    Keel
    Day 4 = Keel to
    Phulwai
    Day 5 = Phulwai to
    Taobat and back to Keel
    Day 6 = Keel to
    Shardah and Shardah to Islamabad

So here's a small intro of bikers riding to devour the mesmerizing and enchanting beauty of Echoing Green i.e Kashmir (Neelum Valley)

    Full gang with loaded stuff

Clutch plates can be installed i think.

Speed and clutch cables can be used but they will go off in a month as it will be jugar and without assembly they wont be good, especilly clutch cable as its length is short.

I saw your videos.... You guys were flying in the neat road patches... But we did that route with calm and slow pace as we were enjoying every moment there...

intially as we thought it is going to be a short route so we stayed slow all the way untill we looked at our watches... and the .. YO YO!!! bhagooo....

after Muzafarabad we increased our pace to double of what we were doing before muzafarabad,...

It took us more then 4 hours... I roughly rememeber to reach muzafarbad... @angel82 ?

I can well imagine, on our way back we discussed the same point that how come people just skip this ultra beautiful place while heading toward Gilgit, whicle it was our first time we did not let any moment go and made around a infinite stops while going and comming back.

But I am sure next time we will be less interested...

yet not received my camera back, so you have to wait for too. Due to heavy rain, I left it along with other stuff in Islamabad while returning back.

You are in the best position to compare the performance/maintenance of Ravi Piaggio and Honda Bike, since you have both type of bikes in your tour. Please share your views.

Bro, my bike is old now and on this tour i had hard time climbing those high altitudes, although the MMA's bike was performing very good compared to mine. Mine is a hold horse which needs some quality time and parts

However on plain road me and MMA's bike were together even though fully loaded bike touched 110km/h

Now coming to Atlas Honda point, If you keep these factor's mind i.e Performance, Availability of Parts, Maintenance and Price factor then Atlas Honda takes lead.

However if you keep factors like Road Grip, Handling, Control and comfort then Atlas Honda is nowhere near Ravi Piaggio 125.
