You are right, Formula 1 will never be the same without Schumacher. This happens to every sport when a big name decides to depart, be it the departure of Imran khan from cricket or Borris Becker from tennis, that people start to feel that the best days are gone. But the reality is that the sport goes on.
When Senna died most of the people of the generation before us lost their interest in Formula1. For them Senna is still the best driver of formula1 ever. But then came Micheal Schumacher and he went on to break all records, and he became a hero for us. Now after his retirement the game will hopefully see another champion(s) who will carry the sport forward.
But there will never be another Micheal Schumacher. However, for me the next season is still very interesting. Kimi Raikonnen at Ferrari, Alonso at Mclaren. I think a great rivalry is about to begin.
