KARACHI: LPG Marketing Companies announced Friday to lower the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas by Rs40-50 per cylinder, it was reported on Friday.
Talking to Geo News, LPG Distributors Association Chairman Hadi Khan said that after the reduction in LPG prices by marketing companies, distributors also slashed the price to Rs540-550 per cylinder.
Thus, LPG price came down by three to four rupees per kilo.
During the current year from January to September, 27,600 metric tones of LPG were imported as well as its local production is on the rise.
Hadi Khan demanded that the government should finalise the measures for the utilization of LPG in transportation so that alternative fuel for petrol might assume currency and a great deal of foreign exchange be saved.
