price should be around 1.4 + million.
cost of unit is around $5.8-8k depending on specs they choose and don't undervalue @ customs. car wont be having 4x4.

i was working on a similar project last year. everything got finalized even the brand name. target price was placed @ 1.2 million with petrol engine and 1.4m with diesel engine. the engines r usually borrowed from Mitsubishi, Isuzu, and Toyota. the vehicle was produced by didi group china. specs included full options, plus leather seats 7, reverse radar, VCD, etc etc.

anyways now working with other china group on a similar project... lets hope for succeeding this time.

I've seen these things personally and I think the quality of local made washing machine is better then this crap..... very few chinese companies have some name to it, the rest are just copy/paste enterprises!

Chinese are eyeing poor markets like Pakistan, Bangladesh and many African countries to export these crap SUVs. Be ready to find them on our roads in next three to four years. BTW they are above the Euro III emission standards which most of our local Suzukis do not qualify.

Quality is a concerns

Its good News for Prado owners, you guys will have cheaper parts for your prados now.
By the way If it has the quality standards of Chery, then this Price is really attractive, less than Half of the Original one, for Chery QQ its only 1 Lac ruppee Less than the original chevy joy.

Looking at the pics on website, it does not look that bad. But we have to see it in flesh i.e. steel to get the real feel. I hope they bring down the prices of cars just as they have brought down the prices of bikes.
