CBR is notoriously known for giving out this kind of SRO’s and then producing counter SRO’s diminishing the good effects of original SRO’s.
In any events, CBR will keep the thing “murky” and leaves some backdoor and loopholes so their employees continue to make money at the ports (you know what I mean). They have never streamlined this process of calculating duties and penalties. I can bet, if two different people import same car, same year, same engine spec, same everything, both will walk out paying different duties, penalties etc to CBR. This is purposely designed as such.
