# Thread: Electricity Rates In Different Countries

1. ## Electricity Rates In Different Countries

Guys does anyone know the electricity rates in the major countries of the world ( USA, China, India, Russia, Britain, Germany, France etc ) ??

Members from the countries listed are welcome to tell the rates of electricity which they have paid recently.

If anyone has a link to a chart/table of electricity rates please share.

2. I let you calculate the rate.

3. 171.41 / 1571 = 0.10910884786760025461489497135583

so ur paying 10.91c/kWh for residential electricity in the USA.

= PKR 9.38/kWh

Lets see what others are paying.
btw if anyone can, do share industrial rates as well...

4. ITS 0.56YUAN\KWh
for residential but rates vary in different provinces thought the variation in negligible
1 \$=6.45yuan
1yuan=13.5pkr
now u can calculate how much 0.56 yuan would be my math sucks

5. whats the latest price per KW/H in pakistan

6. I never paid my hydro bills here

7. ^^canada ja ker bhi tu kunda choor hey renha

8. In Dubai
I paid 560 dhs for (12880 Rs)

Electricity & water
Phone Line
Internet unlimited (8MB speed line)

9. Commercial connection

10. Can you convert all the rates of different countries in RS once all the info is complete.

thats waaaaaaaay too expensive..maybe ur confusing the exchange rates.

It supposed to be

1 USD = 6.45 yuan
1 PKR = 13.5yuan

So the electricity rates in CHINA will be:

0.56 yuan = PKR 0.0415/kWh = PKR41.50/mWh

in USD = USD 0.0868/kWh = USD 86.8/mWh

Yes I will make a table and post it in initial post.

But i need a lot of data to make it reliable.

The way u posted was good. Others should do it same way, mentioning the usage (KWH) and money paid.

ya u are right it was a typo 1\$is 6.45yuan
and but 1 yuan is 13.5 pkr
and the official source to confirm=
Electricity sale price in Zhengzhou city proper

and why the rate is for KW/H not MW/H

that is USD 0.0867/kWh= 8.67c/kWh for commercial connection in USA.

= PKR7.46/kWh

15. @malik: its in kWh because that is more accurate.

My University pays for all my utilities. I never bothered to inquire how much is it. It includes internet, local phone and hydro etc !

20. Once a Saudi friend told me that the electricity bill for his 4 bedroom apartment in Dhahran-KSA never crosses SR.200. All 5 split ac units (one in kitchen) are running nearly 24 hours.
