Acca is a better option I believe. You can do it in even 2 years. if you study more. Go for it.
go for ACCA

Hi, I have a Canadian bachelor's degree in accounting and finance.I must say, your plan to secure an ACCA designation in Canada is a HUGE Fail.
If you have any questions regarding accounting designations in Canada, you may ask away.
i think LSE is a good better and cheap option.
Never seen someone going with ACCA to Canada.. it more common used with UK.
@midnightclub Why is ACCA in Canada a huge fail?
lse? london school of economics or lahore school of economics?
Because in order to find work in Canada as a Chartered Accountant you'd have to be either a CA or a CGA. Both of these designations are graduate designations which means you need to have atleast a 4-year bachelors degree in any discipline in order to qualify for the Canadian equivalent of ACCA which you have to have in order to secure a job or audit.
Although ACCA does have formal agreements, one still needs to pass a few more papers to get the CGA. Most of the employers insist on a degree as well.
For his sake, I hope its Lahore School of Economics
Bro i suggest that u shud visit lse, and then decide. I study there and i highly recommend. Its my last smester, i can show u around the campus if u plan someday within the next week coz after that i'll be busy. If u want to ask anything else feel free to contact me via pm
Regards
Lol i failed last paper this december so my six months are wasted. This is the first time ever i failed.I'd say go for LSE. Scr3w acca if you cant stick to your studies without danda from college or uni which is usually the case with A levels students.
people lse is lahore school of economic nt london secondly all my first preference is doing acca tl f9 thn moving to Queenmary Uni ,now y i am not choosing Uk for acca...most illeterate people going there for study bcs UK is selling study ,people who dont even know how to write english get study visa :S so Canada is a much better option as if i complete acca i will give papers for CGA nd then can apply for nationality
When opting for ACCA don't plan anything like i'll complete 9 papers in 1 year time or 1.5 year time...it could take you even 2 years or 4 attempts just to pass a single paper if you're stuck in it.
The passing rate for some papers can go as low as 28% globally. So prepare well to become the minority.
yes in 2 years. My friend is in SBM who is about to complete ACCA in 2.5 years. He had failed last paper so that's why his six months are wasted.
If you are an ACCA affiliate, you DONT need to write CGA to become a Canadian, you can apply for permanent residency offshore & still become a part of Canada.
