the alienware is just a concept. not a real phone....yet. dell is interested in making one but this isnt what it will look like.
the Lancaster and Hero are old models... newer ones boasting the same specs (and in the same price range) are much better in terms of speed, software and support.
the iphone may prove to be your ultimate phone if you dont really do much with phones. there are several reasons not to buy an iphone (technically) but then there are some reasons why u should buy one... example screen quality, build quality, aesthetics, touch response. but for me, the new ones are always severely overpriced and lack a lot of functionality that i need.
the world of android is seemingly limitless. you can continuously upgrade your OS using custom ROMS. I am currently running Android ICS 4.0.3 on my Hero. Custom roms squeeze out greater functionality and speed from your android enabled phones.
best comparison is for you to comparative models of both iphone and lets say Samsung S1/S2 and decide for yourself.
i would much rather buy the HTC One S or the Samsung S2 rather than the iphone 4s.
