why does salary have anything to do with petrol prices?
okay, so if salaries in africa are 100usd/month , they should make petrol free? and where would the government get the money to subsidize it when the people themselves aren't generating much wealth?
lets say for example a good which is imported from middle east is worth 500usd in usa where they make 5000usd salary. If the same good is costing 500usd in pakistan where salaries are 500usd, how is that unfair? if so, who is it that is being unfair here?
is it also unfair that americans don't get electricity as cheaply as the chinese?
the government can't spend money it doesn't have on luxuries you can't afford.
Personally I think the government should remove all subsidies on all fuels...people will find a way. they have to.
and also @fahadwizz, the gdp per capita in usa is roughly 50k or so...
