Any one having trouble with Torrents Download?

I'm getting the same problem. Internet is almost of no use without torrents. Hope they haven't blocked it permanently. Otherwise I'll definitely switch to some other Isp

some say its due to the maintenance on submarine cable or may be ptcl has deliberately did it anyway i search and found a fix which actually worked.

Step 1.
go to preferences > bittorrent > protocol encryption
set outgoing to :Forced
and check incoming legacy connections

Step 2.
Turn on hotspot shield (or some other vpn software)

it might take some time before you start getting good speed (and perhaps a couple of restarts to utorrent and hotspot shield)

There,s been quite a lot of issues coming in PTCL services specially slow speed , ip issues
a friend of mine called them to ask the reason and they said they are making some major changes at the back end to solve the problems so i think to keep the things working for all users they killed torrents for a while and after there major changes things will be back to normal

Torrents are dead and browsing is slow.

Even after encryption torrents are hardly reaching half the regular speed. I am getting 55kBps avg. speed on the same torrents that I usually download at 450 kBps avg. speed.

It's been around 3-4 days since this started. I've not been able to find any news of fault in the under sea cable, but I am hearing that the problem is across all ISPs in Pakistan. This indicates that PTA might be behind this stupid policy of trying to control the internet.

Oh crap! its true internet is completely boring n dull without torrents. I thought only i am facing the problem... currently there is no download speed... for the time being, i am seeding all the downloaded files... have enough maal for a month use... i should have downloaded more stuff earlier...
