stock exchange is a form of exchange which provides services to traders to trade in stocks.

2-Is it wise to invest in Islamabad Stock Exchange?
NO. work with Karachi stocks or work in those shares that r listed at all Pakistani stock exchanges.

3-Is it wise to work without a broker if investing first time?
u cannot trade without a broker. they charge commission that is i think nominal

4-which stocks are best to buy now a days?
all stocks r good to buy. do ur homework (extensive and comprehensive) before investing.
i recommend, just select 15 to 20 companies, gather all the data about their operating performance, finanicila performance, earnings, payout etc.

stock market investment is very high risk & a common man is bound to trust the portfolio manager. as an individual buyer it is not viable to register at stock exchange the seat / ticket / membership costs approx 25 Million for ISE, 75 Million for LSE 100 Million for KSE.

A broker is to be engaged with a track record & with an arranged fee payment either per month or per transaction. Stock market investment is very delicate game which creates serious health issues with investors at times resulting in death due to unknown reasons.

I'd strongly recommend invest in NIT units [ National Investment Trust Limited ] for variable profit which seems to be halal because it is not fixed and dividend is paid after deduction of taxes & zakat. Risk factor exist but at very low scale where as for stocks make break situation always exist.

Use karachi stock market.. One thing before investing in any share, study it. And if you are gaining any loss.. Dont get panic.. Wait and see

I bought the nit, ogdc and hbl shares 5 years back and they all are giving me quite a bit of profit!
