Hello All
By seeing lot of helpful response from people here, I encouraged to raise my query.
I have a registered NTN number since last year and tax on my salary has been deducted at source so far. As part of immigration authority requirement, they asked for my income tax certificate in order to validate my claim that i am a salaried person and have been paying my taxes here.
In order to obtain this certificate, i went to the department in Karachi and received a paper showing that am registered from last year as tax payer. Now the problem is i need an evidence that my taxes on salary have been paid through out my job tenure of 4 years and am wondering how should i get this. Another twist in this is i never file a tax return either (didnt know the process) and thus when i log in to the FBR system my tax record is blank.
I need to understand what would i need to do to get a certificate from FBR that certifies i am a regular tax payer since past 4 years on my salary.
1) Is it a must to file my tax return to obtain this certificate ?
2) shall i contact a tax consultant to help me out
3) Has anyone arranged a income tax certificate by any chance and can share the picture so that i may understand how the template looks like and whether it will be suffice to satisfy immigration authority request.
Any assistance on this will be highly appreciated
Cheers
