You do know how homeopathic , so called "medicine" is made right? Do some research on that.
Secondly you don't take medicine if you join the gym. :S
Whey protein is great , balance your meals throughout the day(healthy meals of course) , take it easy in the beginning and get plenty of sleep. Without a good 7-8 hours of sleep a night don't expect any results. That is when your muscles recuperate. You can spend hours upon hours in the gym but if you don't eat right and get proper rest it is pointless.
On a side note , if i am not mistaken there are already some threads dedicated to this topic.
