Hey guys I need some help. Is there any Neurologist here?
what do u wanna find out in neurology?
I want to get some explanation on MRI Brain findings.
what are the findings?
evidence of periventricular deep white matter ischemia bilaterally.
Dilated ventricles, widened fronto-parietal temporal, cortical sulci due to atrophic changes.
evidence of rgith maxillary, ethmoidal and sphenoidal sinusitis.
Above is the Impression from MRI Brain. I want to know what it means in simple words.
the MRI report is indicating that there is ischemia in the white matter of the brain.in simple words the bloody supply to that specific part of brain is affected.this maybe common in old age or in a hypertensive patient usually.
whats were the complaints of the patient when he visited the doc?
memory loss and eye vision is also effected.
What about the second and third line?
dilated ventricles ,atrophic changes are all related to the ischemia.
did he have a stroke or is he a hyper tensive patient?
Can you add me on yahoo messenger or I personally email you?
Never had stroke and BP remains low.
Anyone?
mite be normal old age Alzheimer's..it an age related dementia,ie memory loss.

Should I consult a neurologist immediately?
well if it is Alzeihmars there really is no treatment for it,..just family support and reassurance would do.
