Portage1, I grow Tuberose in planters in Wisconsin because I have to dig out the bulbs in winter. In Arizona they grow quite well in shady areas. I think the fragrance is just so delicate, even better than Jasmine or even Hyacinths, my second best.
Alibadshah, have you tried growing wave petunia? They have much longer stems and are usually found in hanging baskets. They look fabulous in large planters on the edges with a tall plant in the middle.
It is quite nice to see someone growing flowers competitively.
