Does the same oil is recommended for a mazda gearbox, 1.6 626 engine with floor shift transmission?

I recently asked the machanic to open the Gear oil point and check is it up to the level or Not...I was shocked because i already put 3 litres of Warco gear oil earlier but i was more surprised by the fact that i had to pour one more liter so on the whole it came about to be 4 Litres where as the capacity was 3 litres maximum...Which shows that how much 2 Number these local oil companies are...they showed on the gear oil packing that it contained 1 litre But on thw whole it was less than 1 liter..Also i want to add that the sound got reduced by 85% by topping up of gear oil...so the sound of khir khir was because of low gear oil levels...Just wanted to share these two things with you guys...

Its not the packaging - trust me, gear oil level is the one item nearly all service stations cheat on in Pakistan. Gear oil level does not go down unless its leaking - the usual story of "topping up gear oil" is a scam played by such service stations. The new oil you buy never gets into your car.

Its really easy to change gear oil in a car if you have a funnel on a pipe and someway to lift a car.

yes, its filled from the fill port, if the mechanic is trying to fill it from the lever, stop him because you might never know of the correct level.

the above brands are for availablilty of manual gear oils, your car takes regular 75W90 GL4 manual gear lube not ATF. The ATF example was of cars that are actually specified for it - e.g. MB etc specify it.
