JDMs don't need Tuning

All these JDMs are so sophisticated and well assembled cars and there is no need to take them workshop regularly for Tunning. Just like we take our PDM regularly for Tuning after 5K. But JDMs, I think, don't need it. Just feed the right set of oils (Engine, Transmission & good Fuel) which is very important and keep them driving nicely with light foot. After 5~10K, just once go to any workshop and ask them to clean the plugs. That?s all.

Yeah they dont need any adjustments or anything they do it themselves every second by second according to conditions and I own a Nissan Pino from last year (drove it 28k in a year) no tunning , no workshop visit just oil change and not even filter change and its working fine , no problems at all.

sir, actually the advise of cleaning plugs is just because of the bad quality of fuel in pak.
However these are very easy to open, clean and adjust back. We can do it even by ourself. Or any mechanic will do it just for rs. 50 max.

sir jee, these mechanics are very tricky. Even for motor bikes they force to tune up engine after 1~2k for sure, where as it is highly unnecessary thing.
And for cars, uff,,, this mania is even quite more. Many of our brothers have routine to tune up car with every oil chage for pdms specially. Even many people do it from our own office. Furthermore, they still blindly believe that oem engine oils are best and all others are fake.

All cars need preventive maintenance be it a suzuki mehran or a mercedes benz. I change my spark plugs at 12k along with a distributor cleaning and point replacement (normal denso copper spark plugs). My dads corolla has done 40k kms and spark plugs were opened just once for cleaning at 30k. Alhamdulilah- I havent had a SINGLE breakdown and my cuore has clocked 100k+ kms.
Fancy oils are not everything when it comes to maintenance.

I'd love to see your JDM cross the 100k kms mark without timing belt replacement!

I never follow owners manual for mu pkdm car just replace what when i feel like
For example written that plugs gp for 30k and use copper plugs hell no got iridiums all around who cares they last more

Why do people think JDM's from HEAVEN??though there is difference in options but engine technokogy is the same.regular maintainance is as necessary for vehicles as for humans

If you do preventive maintenance Every car needs tuning, PDM corolla and civic needs it every 20,000kms. So will a JDM plz grow up poster.

by tuning he means tuning the engine, he's not forbidding you to avoid any other maintenance task. ecus in modern vehicles rely on upon the sensors to tune the engine according to changing conditions all the time the engine is running. if the sensors are working alright then you dont need to adjust things like idle speed, ignition timing, fuel mixture etc. the checkup at 20k km is to check the condition of the sensors and to change or adjust if ecu reports some offset in readings by obd codes or some other way.

There is no connection of bad fuel with spark plugs still they dont need cleaning but uf u do it , it doesn't matter
