    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

    I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

    I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

    Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

    I m also a proud Daewoo owner, and want to install power steering in my car. I have heard that its not a good idea as these Kabli power steering pumps have an unresolvable problem of oil leakage. Can u guys share ur experiences with me. waiting for ur valuable comments.

    The power steering job is perfect in Daewoo Racer. Just a bolt-on job. Just you need is the power steering machine with power steering pump of Daewoo Cielo. You can get these things from one of the old parts dealers as mentioned before for around Rs.9-10000/= and giving the existing steering machine in return! <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

    is there water boiling from reserve water bottle just after few km (10-15)drive?
    or if reserve water bottle reduces water in small quantity in a week than there is no issue, its normal but it boils the water after completion of drive than there must be problem in rediator sytem, it needs service , piping might be blocked with dust/mud, and may be there is gasket fault.

    @asadscorpio:

    standard tyre size for daewoo is 13, what would be the impact if it is increased to 14 or 15.

    what AC compressor is affixed in ur car, is it sanden? if it is so, what about its performance? Is it fine os slow speed as well?

    Any feedback about "Success" compressor?????

    Testdriver is away since long, any news about him.

    i never checked daewoo's drive with 14/15 inch tyres, may be its increase the ride's height and looking good but less road grip and there might be chances of wobbling too. i have original ac compressor (came in factory fitted) but its now so weak and i am also facing the gas leaking problem , last season AC mechanic advice me to change with brand new sandan compressor but i still using old compressor.
